Housing First University
In this course for social work professionals, attendees will learn about the philosophy and guiding principles of the Housing First model, as well as the overlap with harm reduction and other evidence-based practices. Attendees will follow the path of an individuals from street engagement to permanent supportive housing, exploring the importance of interdisciplinary staff, trouble-shooting common behavioral concerns, and learning about the importance of advocation for housing as a human right as a member of the social work profession.
