Service Changes due to COVID-19

  • Our facilities continue to be open primarily by appointment only. Customers are able to drop off applications or other paperwork in person, in secure drop boxes, or via email. You can also pick up applications at our offices.

  • Depending on your needs, you may want to call us at 570.326.0587 before visiting without an appointment to be sure we can serve you!

  • If you are not sure if STEP can help you, or are not sure what resources are available in the community, please call STEP at 570.326.0587 or via email and we will help you navigate what may be out there for you. You can complete our General Registration form and Service Assessment Questionnaire in order to receive referrals to both STEP programs and others in the community based on your needs.

  • STEP Transportation is providing trips to facilities as usual; please call 570.323.7575 with any questions concerning public transportation COVID-19 safety protocols.

  • STEP Head Start programs are enrolling for in-person classes during the 2022-2023 school year. The enrollment process can be started here.

  • STEP Office of Aging continues to provide Social Services and Protective Services for older adults in Lycoming and Clinton counties. They can be reached at 570.326.3096. PA-MEDI (previously APPRISE) counselling is also available.

  • STEP Centers for Healthy Aging have opened for meals and activities. Please contact your Center Coordinator for more details.

  • Meals on Wheels will continue to be delivered with precautions to protect vulnerable populations. You can call STEP Office of Aging at 570.326.3096 to sign up for Meals on Wheels.

  • Lycoming County and Clinton County Long Term Care Ombudsmen are available. They are able to assist with any concerns or questions that come up for you or your loved one residing in nursing homes, personal care homes, and older adult daily living centers. You can reach your local Ombudsman at 570.601.9557.

  • STEP Utilities Assistance Program is operating. PPL OnTrack applications can be completed at pplelectric.com/ontrack. More information on the UGI CAP program can be found here. Other utilities inquiries can be directed to STEP at 570.326.0587.
